The Wedding
Wedding Photos - Technology is a wonderful thing. Because our wedding photographers used digital cameras, and because they were amazingly accommodating, we are able to share with you some of the pictures of our wedding within 24 hours of the event concluding.

These 300 photos represent a sampling of the 1,600+ photos taken. You DO NOT want to open this link without a high-speed internet connection. You can scroll through small versions of the pictures. Click on an image to see a larger version. I will try to arrange the pictures in some sort of logical order later.

Special thanks to Charity de Meer and her husband Steve, as well as to Jennifer Jakubowski, for the GREAT pictures.

Please email us pictures that you took so that we can include them in this site.

The Honeymoon
Reflections on the honeymoon
Sau-Ying and I left for our honeymoon on September 6th. We flew first to Paris, where we drank a lot of caffe au lait, visited the usual tourist sites, did some shopping and had a great time is a city that seems to be eternally sunny and beautiful. We were not disappointed, though Sau-Ying was very clear that there was a limit to the number of museums she would visit. Paris just seems like one of those places where it is impossible to have a bad time.

That being said, Tuscany was unworldly. It is the most beautiful place either of us has ever visited. Sunshine; rolling hills; hill top cities from the Middle Ages and Renaissance; 30 centuries of art work; acres and acres of sunflowers, olives and grapes; sheep grazing on hills; friendly people; great food and gorgeous sunsets.

If you are looking for a PERFECT vacation or honeymoon, we recommend Torre del Tartufo. If you have seen Under the Tuscan Sun, Stealing Beauty or other movies involving expats spending time in Tuscany, you have an idea as to the beauty of the area. Well, raise your expectations a dozen notches. Torre del Tartufo is at once traditional and modern. You don't have to attend the cooking classes - in fact there were several guests who simply chose to sit by the pool or use Torre as a base to visit the beautiful hill towns of Tuscany. However you choose to spend your time there, know that you will feel as if you are suspended from reality - a wonderful feeling for those of us who sometimes feel like we cannot escape the moment. My only fear is that too many people will discover the wonder of this truly unique place.

So on to the pictures - click here for Paris and here for Tuscany. On the left side of the screen you will see thumbnail images. Click on a thumbnail and you will see a usable sized image. If you click on the larger image, you will get a VERY large image - usually 2 MB+.
